I use my Verizon cell phone to access the 'net.  Works just fine.  It's simply a 
portal, you can go to any service you want to.  My provider is Comcast, and I've 
had no problems except speed.  There's no additional phone service charge for this.

A few days ago I discovered wireless net access.  Where a node is available, it's 
the only way to go. 

Bottom line; go both ways, use Verizon only when there's not a wireless node available.
