Jim,

I can't help with the new board (others already have) but now you know why
you ALWAYS connect the ground cable last.  Installing a battery, connecting
jumper cables, whatever...disconnect the ground first, connect it last.  I
wish it hadn't been such an expensive lesson.  I would check and see if
everything else is working before I assessed total damage.
