I think you are getting worked up over something that you
should not worry about too much.
Steel and iron will rust in a little then it will seal it out.
The rust will stop.   On thin cars and trucks it is so thin
that it rusts through.  Your frame is much heaver that
the tin.
Keep the frame that shows painted with a good paint
that stops rust is all we ever do and our unit is almost
35 years old.
