Hi, Tom...

Have you considered that your cat may be suffering from motion sickness. 
It is possible that it has just cropped up. One of my grandsons was fine 
for years, then one trip started to feel the effects of the motion.

I'm sure that there something that your vet can suggest. It's worth a 
try and if it works it will make life much more pleasant for everyone, 
especially the cat.
