Dan,

When I had my 4 AGMs installed the dealer said they could last 10 years or
so with care (not abusing them).  I have only had them for about 4 months.
Time will tell.  B^)   The rest of the system consists of three 75W panels, a
Solar Boost 2000E charge controller, and Xantrex 2.0 proSine inverter/charger.

  We just love having the ability to run anything at any time or place without
noise or fuss, just the flip of a switch!  Except the AC which would run, but
drain the batteries in just a few minutes.  We have boondocked for up to 5
days with little concern for power consumption (just not getting silly like
cooking a ham in the microwave).   That's not a problem for us as we are
vegetarians, anyway.
