[A/S] Re: Hensley hitch clunking
Dan,
I have been told that the most common reason for a Hensley to clunk on turns
is not the hitch itself, but the receiver on the tow vehicle which can get
stretched
and allow the hitch bar to move sideways a little. This seems to be happening
to mine. The cheep fix is to shim the bar at the back end of the receiver. Of
coarse the best fix is to replace the receiver with a heavy duty (class V)
unit.
I'm still thinking about which way to go. If it's a safety issue then I
would replace
it with a new one. Guess I'll watch it for a while longer. Anyone else
experience
this problem?
