Re: [A/S] equalizer vs reese dual cam

I use a Reese Dual Cam with my 27 ft. Safari (1999) and 2500HD GMC D/A combo.
The combo meets all my expectations. I have pulled from coast to coast and
Great Lakes to FL with no misbehavior from the combo.

IMHO, you can get in trouble with any combination (tow vehicle, trailer, and
hitch) if you don't follow a few rules. You don't want to overload either the
trailer or the tow vehicle. You need a good brake controller and need to
have your trailer brakes in good working condition. You need good tires and you
need to pack your wheel bearings regularly. And one of the most important
rules, I feel, is to keep your speed within reason. You can try to keep up with,
or drive faster than, the tractor trailers, but many of them are driving on the
"hairy edge". (Pardon me as I step down from my soap box.)
