Chas,
This is a bit of subject, but I had wondered if Alton Abbott sold the
dealership or what.  My aunt and uncle (Jo and Melvin Robinson) did interior
restoration work on trade-ins(Airstreams only) for Alton back in the late 60
and early 70s.  As a result, they decided to forego a newer model and
instead restored an older one for their very own.  Both are now deceased and
I have no idea what happened to their Airstream.  If you were at Abbott's
during that timeframe, you probably crossed paths. 

It is good to hear that Billy Sims is continuing the excellent tradition of
Alton and his dad.
