Big oops on hitting reply without cleaning out the original 
attachments.  Sorry.

One response suggested renting a motor home first to try it out as a 
family.  Did an 8 day rental last summer for exactly that reason.  
Covered central NY and part of Vermont.  Caught the bug.

Another response asked about towing capacity.  GCWR on the vehicle is 
15K lbs.  Haven't weighed the van itself yet, but Edmunds gives a 
curb weight of 5804.   Fill it with kids, dog, fuel, luggage and 
let's estimate 7K lbs. 

So I have about 8K of hauling capacity to play with.  Ideally, I 
would love to pull something no bigger than 6-7K lbs, to leave me 
some wiggle room.

I figure that'll cover a 31' from a few years back, but only up to 
28' with today's equipment level.
