Just have a good look at the mechanism (probably have to take it apart to 
see), then go to the hardware store and find something similar. The rusted 
remains of the old spring is probably still in there and will help you see 
what size you need. You may have to cut the new one to fit. I wouldn't 
worry about an exact size factory certified replacement part - all it has 
to do is give a little push.

I have done this kind of thing several times with different springs that 
are exposed to the weather and it has always worked out fine. Last time was 
the little door keeper thingie on the outside of the AS (the one that keeps 
the door fully open). Works for me.
