Correct.  That is why we will level the rig, on level ground and then
measure to the inside of the hitch socket.  Whatever the measurement, I
will adjust the hitch ball height on the loaded tow vehicle to match...

Thanks for the input.  I hope you eventually join the "owners".  You
will find this list very helpful.
