RE: [A/S] RE: Tongue weight

Hi all;

We're at an RV park just outside of Boerne, TX on the
top of a hill next to I-10.  Gorgeous view, stiff
wind, and a bit crisp.  Must be winter in Texas.

Our 34' has a tongue weight of 1240#.  I know there
was a thread on this not to long ago that dealt with
the tongue weight in relation to the hitch.  I have
the large equal-i-zer hitch, but it still is only up
to 1200#.

I'm not going to get a Hensley, so I know I'm in
trouble before I ask the question.  But here goes
anyhow.  Just how critical is it that I've maxed out
the wekight capacity of the hitch.  I've checked out
others, but the heavier ones just go to 1200# as well.
 I am very satisfied with the way the hitch sets up
and tows.  I feel very comfortable towing with it, but
I'd like to make sure that I'm not putting myself in a
dangerous position.
