We take our cat along on longer trips (more than a couple of days), and she
tolerates it. It is tough to keep her inside the A/S (or at home), but
do-able. The thing to watch out for while in the A/S is that there are lots
of hidey holes for them to get into. I remember thinking one time that she
had escaped and was gone for good, until, late the next day, she appeared
from behind and under the couch.

The cat is kept in a crate while on the road, in the back seat of the truck.
Other than an occasional yowl, she's content, or seemingly so.

Traveling with her can be frustrating sometimes.

Took another cat hunting/camping some years back. She disappeared into the
forest just before we packed up to go home, not to be seen for two days. I
kept going back to the site and, one evening, she strolled out of the trees,
highly indignant and letting me know it, that she had been 'abandoned'.
