[A/S] winter camping
hey to all,
well, after the initial response to my question, i decided to just
keep my mouth shut, and i didnt read any posts for awhile!
My 1968 Airstream is solid as a rock! well, except for the vent in
the kitchen ceiling that hail broke this past spring. And it has
taken me until now to find a replacement for the lifters(one of them
had rusted out). I have the vent and now, some used lifters so my dad
and I are installing it in two weeks.
I need a new seal around the toliet and some new flooring, perhaps
carpet, although i have bought some laminated hardwood for it, i
probably just have enough for the kitchen. anyway, with me being a
single woman and working most of the time, i havent had much time to
fix it up. My dad helps some, but with the remodeling of my house and
our cabin up in virginia, my as has taken a back seat.
some day i want it all fixed up!
i needed something cheap to live in while i worked, so thats why i
bought the wildwood, not an as. I have been looking at the new 30 ft
airstreams with the slide out, but this past year the price tag was
68K and that was just too much for me at this time.
now the price is up 2 to 4K. I am really considering it sometime next
year or the next. I just bought a cafe in virginia and my funds are
tied up until i get that on its feet.
i would love to know more about the dealer/middleman that you can get
an AS for up to 25% less. I would drive to ny or whereever to get
that deal. care to share phone numbers or email addressess for those
places.(i read about it a few posts back).
later, you guys and gals,
sara
