Folks -

After a long absence, and a long time off the road and away from the 
tin torpedo, I may be back on the road.  I am thinking of driving 
from Oregon where I live to LA where the tin torpedo is and dragging 
it to El Centro/Slab City to check out this legendary spot.  Has 
anyone been there recently?  Has anyone any info on the spot?  I 
know it is a bit nuts; that is why I am going.  I won't be so 
obvious there.  ;o)
