Re: [A/S] '51 Cruisette on Vintage Airstream
Thanks Chuck! That's exactly what I wanted to hear.

Yep.

I was also looking at late '50s Shastas - a lot cheaper and
seriously cool (especially if they still have their wings, which
most don't), but they're just not Airstreams. I don't know if
you're familiar with the book "Ready to Roll" by Gellner & Keister,
but when I saw the '52 Cruisette on page 96, I said "That's my
trailer!" Short enough and light enough that I can tow it safely
with my extended cab Ranger - I really do NOT want to buy a bigger
tow vehicle, though I would certainly consider the 1950 Ford Country
Squire "woody" pictured with the trailer if I found one at the right
price! My dad had a '54 that he was working on back in the
late '50s/early '60s but times got hard and he ended up giving it
away. But I digress.
I'm in Virginia and the trailer's in Monterey, California but I'm
definitely willing to spend the air fare (actually a minor expense
since my daughter works for an airline) to go check it out and close
the deal.
Thanks again!
Joseph
