Watch this one Phil.  A friend of ours had a similar deal go south.  The 
"buyer" sent a certified cheque that Niki's bank was willing to accept, 
but just to cover all angles she called the issuing bank and it was a 
forgery.  The cheque (from Nigeria) was for an Argosy trailer and 
several thousand extra to  cover the shipping.  Then the seller wrote 
back that HE could set up the shipping and to refund the difference. 
That would have given him the shipping money, AND the buyers chequing 
account number.

Another friend of ours was approached with a similar offer for her 
trailer (strangely enough, another Argosy).  Her response, "Send cash by 
courier."  Maybe the best way to handle overseas transactions.

Both of these were advertised on the internet.  Is that how your offer 
came about?

By the way, I have this $60 trillion of oil/coal/diamond liquidation 
money I need to get into the country.  I'll give you a 43% commission if 
you will let me use your account to do so.  Please e-mail me a blank, 
un-voided cheque from your account.  Autographed please.
