Hello Phil.I have never heard of such a thing,but it does sound 
fishy. If he wants to send the the money to your address, that is one 
thing, but if he wants to wire it to your bank account, I would say 
beware and I would think it is a scam. I would call your Police 
department and see what they say. What ever you do don;t ever give 
out your bank account #. We went through an identity theft last year 
while we were in Florida and have no idea where or how it happened.
