[A/S] Bathroom Floor

Hi gang,

Well, I finally got around to fixing the bathroom floor to my liking.

I got the 20X20 inch carpet out which was the hard part. It took literally 
hours. My razor knife is dull and just had a hard time cutting.... It's a real 
pain that the furniture and walls go on the w/w carpet so it has to be cut out 
instead of pulled.

You might remember I got a new Sealand low profile toilet a few weeks ago, it 
was still too high with the rug gone so I couldn't just put down tiles on the 
plywood under the carpet. 

What to do..... I got a brainstorm. I needed to build up the floor about 2 
and a half inches... but piling plywood that high would weigh alot.  I went to 
Home Depot and had them cut me a thick pine plywood board. 20.5" X 21.5"  I 
wasn't sure how to build it up though until I saw some scrap 2X6s.  I had the guy 
cut them too, into pieces about 3 inches wide....some narrower some wider.  I 
took 7 of the 2 bys and wood glued them to the floor. They raise the floor 
but without all the weight.

Then I took the place and press Armstrong tiles I bought last week and stuck 
them down onto the plywood.... when they were perfect I put wood glue on the 
top of the seven 2bys and placed the tiled floor on them. Then I just used 
molding along the edge where the shower is.

Haven't got molding for the toilet edge....yet.

The pull down door under the sink still opens, it's right up to the hinge.

You step up from the hall.... I have a bi level trailer...hahahaha
