I agree with this one but I disagree about simplistic rules of tow
vehicle size when there are so many other factors that are involved.

How many inches of wheelbase is proper tire inflation worth?

How much is getting the proper tire and wheel for towing worth?

How much is proper hitch adjustment worth?

What is the hitch point distance to rear axle to trailer axle ratio worth?

Are we going to promote a law that every trailer be towed using a
Henley hitch? What are the monpolistic impacts of such ideas?

How do we deal with center of gravity?

How about sticking that genset on the back bumper?

How about driving under the influence or [ the latest craze ] driving
while distracted by something?

Are you going to make a law to cover all of these so people can only
tow smart?

Yes it would be nice if everyone else was as smart as we are but I
don't think passing a law is going to prevent lapses in judgment or
stupidity.
