I've seen the Toureg commercial a few times, and it looks like a new model
Airstream (look at the belly-pan, or absence of same), but the skin has
either been painted or computer-painted to a flat grey color (probably so as
not to draw attention away from the tow-vehicle)...

I couldn't find any towing specs for the Toureg - it appears to be aimed
more at the high-end, 'luxury off-roader' (sounds like an oxymoron, don't
it?) ... in any event, i doubt that the Toureg would be adequate for
anything larger than a Bambi, if that; although it does appear to have a
relatively low center of gravity, and decent wheel-base, with the rear
wheels very near the rear of the vehicle.
