That is a classic early sign that the heater tank has corroded through. The
condition will only get worse. And while some have tried to repair the tank
it is generally less expensive to replace it
with a new one. Unless it was optioned up to a 10 gallon size, it can be
replaced by an Atwood 6 gallon unit available through many RV parts sources.
