It's the pure DC verses unpure DC voltage.
My Intellipower w/ wizard works like a dream!
It's as basic as 30 year old technology not sensitive enough for new circuit 
boards.
I do not miss the hum of the univolt....the little fan kicks in on the 
Intellivolt to remind me it's doing it's job when it's at full charge rate.
