Hi Dan, Putting the cork down was not hard at all, if a girl can do it...

I wonder about the interlocking floor if (when ) you get a leak. The 
joints might buckle and the laminations might come appart..  I've seen a 
lot of nice floors out of interlocking stuff, but don't know how they 
would hold up over time.

My  parents' solid cork kitchen floor has been in place and neglected 
for 40 years, and it still looks great.

Only draw back I can see is the expense.
