That's right Hunter. The 1000 watt set will have a couple of 15 amp 
receptacles very similar to the ones on the wall in a house. You 
will need an adapter or dog bone. 

Charles, we're not talking about an inverter as is used to convert 
12 volt dc battery power to 110 ac. Rather some of the portable 
generator makers like Honda and Yamaha are calling their newest gen 
sets "inverters" saying they put out "cleaner" electricity than 
generators. I don't know the explanation of why but it is a bit 
confusing though, isn't it?
