Hi Jack,

I too have On Star in my Suburban so I bought a hand-held CB from Radio 
Shack. The antenna has a strong magnet and sticks to the roof with the 
cord going out a rear window. I have a small mike that attaches to the 
CB so I can talk besides listen. It does the trick well and I don't have 
it junking up the front when I don't need it. With my satellite radio 
and brake box there is enough stuff up front!
