[A/S] Van Wagon Towing Pros/Cons

I am considering various options for trailering with probably a new or
almost new A/S Classic 30' with GVW about 8,700 lbs.  Travel will be local
to coast and cross country to include Rocky Mountains.

One tow vehicle consideration is a new Ford E-350 with 138" wheelbase, AT,
6.8L V-10 engine, 4.10 rear ratio, trailering package, etc.  Advertised
towing capacity is 10,000 lbs.

As I have looked over several months of magazines and reviewed bulletin
boards, I have not found a good review of pros and cons of using a van wagon
tow vehicle.  Lots of stuff on SUVs, pickup trucks, etcs.

Anyone have experience, good or bad, issues, thoughts, or know of a source
for a review article?
