Jack,

I don't mean to sound like a Tekonsha salesman, but the Prodigy is also
designed to be quickly removed from the tow vehicle (and could then be
quickly moved to another vehicle).

The unit come with a slip in mounting cradle.  Since the tow vehicle
connections plug into the back of the controller, they can be unplugged
(actually a single multi wire plug) and then the controller can be slid out
of the cradle fastened to the dashboard. (and slid into the cradle mounted
in another tow vehicle.)

I wonder how many of these controllers are going to be stolen, since they
are so easy to remove.

The Prodigy can also be fastened directly to the tow vehicle, without using
the slid in cradle arrangement..
