Yes, early 70s.....starting in 1973  Airstream added grey water holding tanks 
and didn't beef up the frame for the extra weight. Consequently the *rear 
bath* models got droopy rear ends.... there is a fix for it, and many 
trailers have been fixed but if you are looking at one in that era be sure to 
sight down the side and see if it's straight.

I fulltime in a 25' trailer.  I never use my dining table to eat, but for the 
past 3.5 years have used it for my laptop with the printer and scanner on a 
rolling thing underneath.  Last week I found a computer cabinet to fit in the 
space.  So, the table is down, the cabinet is in front of it.  I can move the 
cabinet down the hall if I want to use the table.

Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge is a personal choice. All are good.  The key is if you 
get a trailer that's big and heavy you want a long wheelbase, and a bigger 
truck than a "1/2 ton"  Get the 3/4 ton.

If you get a 34' trailer and plan to go out west, into mountains... you would 
really love the diesel... or the "big 8" alll the truck makers offer.  

My 25' loaded weighs over 7,000# and I have a 3/4 ton F-250 super duty Ford 
with the diesel. I love this truck. Some say it's overkill, but I like going 
up a freeway entrance ramp and knowing I'll be up to speed when I merge onto 
70 mph traffic.  I criss crossed the Rockies with this rig and never cared 
about the height of the mountain or the grade. 

Mine has the 4 door crew cab, and it's as stable as you'll find.
