Hi Henry, all that Blair says about Passport is true.  I would like 
to add that Passport is a good way to have access to parks all over 
the country at a discounted rate and not find yourself committed for 
years to annual fees.  It was $39 for our first year(frozen til we 
terminated).  We dropped it our 2nd year as we were doing a lot of 
boondocking.  We picked it up this year again at $44 which is still 
an economical rate considering we are not locked into the 
membership 'forever'.  From Coast to Coast friends I have heard there 
are grumbles with that system too - sometimes "no C2C spaces 
left", "placed on a sub-class site", etc.  I am not knocking C2C 
specifically, just feel anyone should get out in the world and talk 
with people before buying into long term memberships.

Wow, Henry - congratulations, you are moving along quickly with 
preparations for Fulltiming! Exciting, huh?  You are fortunate that 
S. Dakota is a neighboring state for you - so many fulltimers using 
that state have several states they must cross to get there in order 
to set up their residency.

Carl and I left the first day possible, 'road condition & weather 
wise', after Christmas '99 from Maine.  We have never been sorry.  It 
is a wonderful world out here with differences in geography, towns, 
history, culture, people, local news, etc.  If everyone had these 
opportunities it would give all people a better appreciation of other 
people and communities.  We're happy, though, that not 'everyone' is 
out here on the road!
