Re: [A/S] Generator location
Manuel -
I have a propane-fired Onan 'Emerald' 4000Watt genset mounted in a cabinet,
floor-level, curbside middle in my RV. The exhaust and muffler are below
floor level, ventilation intake is from the side of the RV. When the time
comes, i'm planning to move this genset (or another just like it) into a
floor-mounted position in the front of the Airstream, under one side of the
'cafe seating'. I'm putting a Coleman roof-air unit, also floor-mounted,
under the other side of the cafe seating. The genset will exhaust down
through the floor, through belly pan. Both will get outside air-intake from
ventilation grilles at the front of the trailer, behind the propane tank.
I'll be permanently-mounting an ASME horizontal tank on the tongue, and the
propane feed to the genset will also be a permanent mount.
These gensets are remarkably quiet, and the integrated shock/vibration
mounts cause no perceptible 'vibration' through the vehicle.
