We use area rugs.  One in front of the sofa, one in
front of the stove and sink, and another that runs
from the hall to the entrance of the rear bedroom.  We
also use one of those bound carpet sample mats at the
door.  

We took our Hoover steam vac through the trailer last
year to clean things up.  Looks good after 2 years of
use.  With two dogs we try our best to keep things
vaccumed up and wipe their paws before they come back
into the trailer after doing their business.
