IMHO: Your 1500 will be strained pulling AND stopping any Airstream 30'
and up.  The brakes and engine are not up to the 7,000"+ loads of the
bigger trailers.  A 454cui or 8.0L engine gas or a diesel engine should
be the preferred choice for pulling the heavier trailers.  The brakes of
the 2500 series would be the safe choice for stopping.  Ignore the above
if you plan on confining travels to the plains states.  Check your
owner's manual and any selected trailer's gross weight numbers to be
safe.
