that is how I do it.   I bought a WATS line that dials my ISP  at 7cents a
minute.  I crank it up at Raton NM while I am there for a month shooting rifle
matches. -  Raton  is a Verizon analog area and it processes at 14.4kbps.  slow
but all I do is down load messages and then I will sign off, process the
messages for my elists, sign back on and upload all of them.   usually about 20
min total for the 12 elists every day.  I do not spend time with web diving.

I figure a couple of $$ a day is not that exorbitant.
