   Hi, Blair has a good point. Sometimes a faulty regulator will 
leave "soot" areas near the furnace vents on the outside of the 
trailor. It indicates an improper fuel and air ratio. But if the 
ignitor gets very dirty, it may be the entire combustion chamber 
needs cleaning. Good luck Arnie
