[A/S] Almost a Thousand Questions...

Hi Everyone:

We picked up our 99 Safari 25' this weekend.  We are exited!

We camped in it one night to check it out as much as we could, and 
then towed it home from Austin.  Unfortunately, our trailer did not 
come with the requisite user manual (I have since requested one from 
A/S).  So in the meanwhile, while we have owned motor homes aplenty, 
we have never owned a trailer, so we have scads of questions.

1.	Holding Tanks - The holding tank labeled 'wash' is the grey 
water tank I assume?

2.	Sewer Hose Storage – With the modest room in the rear storage 
of our 25 footer, are there sanitary and/or enlightened techniques 
for storing the sewer hose once it is clean, yet wet?

3.	Backing Up - Is there any reference material out there 
on `idiot-proof trailer backing and parking technique'? (We
stopped 
by a Texas State Park to practice, and I failed miserably.  I picked 
a non-populated part of the park but it was still embarrassing—A 
grown man who does not know how to intuitively back up a trailer; oh 
my!). 

4.	Windows – Our little dream had been allowed to sit (covered) 
in the Texas heat for about 16 months.  All the outside windows were 
glued shut as the window seals had stuck to the window.  Some came 
open after hard work.  What is the answer on averting this problem?
5.	Backing Up – Nope, I covered that one already…

6.	Beds – Our mattresses were modest when new, and are now a 
little past their prime.  Are there suggestions for improving the 
comfort?

7.	Heavy Objects – When towing, I assume that heavier objects, 
like our little TV, should be stored on the floor or in the tow 
vehicle.  Are there any available guidelines (via Internet, book, 
etc.) that I can use to study-up a little on practical trailer towing 
common sense?

8.	Awning – I extended the awning (A&E).  Worked great but 
seemed a little low given my motor home experinence.  Is there advice 
on manufacturer and style to get it up a little?  (Btw, I don't
mind 
living with the one I have.  It just seems low…)

9.	Wheel Blocking – It seems to me that everyone should be 
blocking their trailer wheels every time they park.  This was not 
obvious to me at first, but soon dawned on me…so I did.

10.	Stabilizer Blocks – We have the rear stabilizers only.  I put 
them down (on gravel), but they did not seem to help all that much.  
My assumption is to upgrade.  Right?

11.	Backing Up – been there…

OK, sorry about the long message.  An answer to just one of these 
would be fine.  We love this trailer! No question.  Just wanted a 
little enlightened guidance.
