The check valve in our Avion leaks, so water goes overboard when we run the
pump. That's the usual case, as we nearly never actually hook up to city
water, even when it's available. Even though a check valve is available from
most RV repair places, I've never bothered, I simply cap off the city water
inlet. I have a Quick Disconnect fitting on the CW inlet and a matching half
with a brass cap. Another QD is used on the water hose if I decide to 'hook
up', making it easy. Especially because of the location of the CW connection
in that trailer, it's a bit of a contortion to hook up the hose otherwise.
