For a fixed operation I'd go with Satellite both ways with Direcway.  Check 
out channel 227 on Directv.

For Mobile operation my choice would be Datastream, that uses the new FCC 
FTES (Temporary Fixed Earth Station) service. I've used it for some time 
and it's a great way to go.  Just downloaded a Windows Office XP file 
update of 9.7Mg in under 2 minutes.
