The diesel trucks do hold their value much better than the gassers. I 
recently bought a 1983 GMC diesel and paid $5,000.00 for it. It only 
had 9,000 on the rebuild and 25,000 on the 400 turbo tranny. The
truck is also in great shape, no rust and the interior is in mint 
shape. It was a one owner. Around town I get about 20mpg and towing
my 1966 22' Safari I get the same. But towing my 30' 5th wheel I get 
about 17mpg. A great improvement over my 89 Chevy with a 454 gasser 
and standard tranny.
