I can't imagine it would be that much..... I had the side of mine stripped 
off to make repairs and it was no where near that much... frankly, that dent 
doesn't look that bad. There's no interior damage?  The dent is strictly 
cosmetic?  No leaks?

salvage value and keep the trailer and live with the dent; >>

Can you live with the dent? More importantly can, and will, your wife live 
with the dent? (c:

2)Take the difference and try to part it, out or sell it for salvage myself;>>

I wouldn't do that... I would pick door #1 before that one.

 3)Or take the money and let the insurance company take posession and go buy

Ah... okay, do you like that one more?  You can afford the difference I 
assume. If you like it and can afford it... why not do that one?

Before I made any decisions I would have the insurance adjuster come and take 
a look... that dent doesn't look like a *total* to me. Mine was banged up a 
lot worse and not totalled...... it is newer though so that could be why.
