Thanks, Jim.  A sound level increase of 3db (doubling 
of audio power) is about the smallest that can be 
detected by the human ear.  That's what you get when
paralleling two Hondas.  The 8db increase of the Yamaha
is about 6 times more audio power, and it IS quite a bit, 
but it falls short of the 10db (10 times power) increase 
most humans perceive to be "twice as loud."

Thanks, Jim.  That's exactly the info I was looking for.  Your
perspective on the sound and recommendation of the Honda are
enough for me.

With 3 gals of gas, the Yamaha is gonna be 82 lbs and that's 
really more than I'd want to lift into the high bed of the 4X4.

Thanks, Dick.  That article was exactly what prompted my question.
Even the Yamaha and dealer sites waffle a bit about it running an 
AC.  The problem is (according to this month's TL article) that 
gensets lose 3% of their output per 1,000' above sea level.
