Well water will leave spots unless you squeegee it off before it dries.  You
might also use a product such as Limeaway, think that's how it's spelled.
The minerals in well water will spot a surface every time unless you are
quick to wipe it off.

I would also think that you could use a car polish to accomplish the same
thing.  I have used Bug and Tar remover with a soft nylon sponge on my
Excursion windows to remove the road grime and it worked really well, even
the windshield.  Be very sure to wash the windshield especially good if you
choose to do this though.

Today I used Armorall glass cleaner and the windows turned out beautiful!
This product also removed the road grime that regular washing won't.  If you
can still see the wiper pattern area on a washed window, there is still road
grime on the rest of the glass which the Armorall glass cleaner made
disappear.  This is one product that goes inside the door panel now so that
I will have a good cleaner and a squeegee also to use anytime, anywhere for
my glass and mirrors.
