Thought we would share some pictures of our sofa project.  We have a 
different setup than most of you - ours is a side sofa rather that a front 
lounge.  We didn't have room for recliners.  We removed the cushions, left 
the frame, and built a hinged platform.  We bought a futon mattress - this 
works well for us.  It does not make into a bed but one person can sleep 
there.
