[A/S] Hensley Hitch unhook
Hi Hunter,
I ran into a problem last night as I maneuvered my Argosy into a nitch on
the side of the driveway. Got tired of driving on the lawn around the
Argosy parked on the driveway. Anyway, I ended up with the truck at a 45
degree angle across the driveway when the Argosy was parallel with the
driveway in the location I wanted. Straight shot back wasn't possible.
I noted that previous unhook situations left the spring bar under the tongue
jack foot. It these situations, I had some wiggle room to get the Hensley
to straighten out so the jack could be lowered. However, with the above
situation, the spring bar was directly under the jack foot. I opted to
remove the spring bar, lower the jack and replace the spring bar. Did I opt
for the only way to do this, or is there another way.
Doesn't take long, but it does add more elements to the task. Fortunately
your recent discussion about getting the Hensley head to rotate about 45
degrees prompted me to attempt to straighten the head and then move it back
into position. Something I'll need to get the trailer out of the nitch.
Doing the hook up at 45 degrees is really going to test my patience.
Hope you have a solution for my dilemma.
Regards, '74 Argosy, Joy
