this is why I prefer the Pullrite.  the trailer may break loose and start
jscknifing but the tow veh would be unaffected until the trailer reached the
limit of the bow.  that would allow time for the tow to do a little judicious
accelerating and possibly get out of trouble.  on black ice, I doubt that
anything will help, regardless of hitch design.
