[A/S] Re: Bumper cover

My Safari got bumped in the rear and I had to replace both the bumper and the 
storage lid.  New parts were shipped direct from A/S after placing the order 
with the "local" A/S dealer/parts store.
The "old" lid was riveted in place, so I drilled out the rivets, used the 
damaged lid as a template to locate the placement of new holes, put the new 
lid in place with the double-stick tape, drilled and riveted same in place.  
Looks like new - in fact it is new <g>.
I agree that double-stick tape alone will not hold up for long.
