Re: [A/S] Purging antifreze

Hi Ed,

I just removed the tank from my '74 Argosy and have had the tank out of my
'69 Safari for some time. In both cases, draining the tank left about 5 or
more gallons in the tank. The Safari doesn't have a baffle and the Argosy
tank does. The baffle might block additional water from draining
completely.

A siphon is most likely ineffective for removing the last several gallons of
water.

Otherwise, you'll just have to keep filling it up completely and draining
it until you get the taste you like. The RV antifreeze should not be
toxic. :)

As a purely personal note, I don't plan to drink the water from my tanks.
Rather, I'll use bottled water for drinking and possibly cooking. You might
consider this approach and forget trying to get all the odor out. Might
make a pleasant shower fragrance?

                                          Regards, Joy
