What we find is most of these units have had an owner somewhere along 
the way that did not wax it as religiously so the damage has been 
done.  The 1978 did have better paint than the early models.

The new base coat/clear coat finishes are far more forgiving.  We 
first started applying them in 1994 and those units at 8 years old 
still look great with a minimal amount of care.
