As the owner of a'76/77/78 Argosy I do not share your opinion or 
experience that the beige paint rapidly faded.  Still have original paint 
on my '78 and a once a year polishkeeps it looking great. Each of the 
units I acquired had never been polished and when polish looked great and 
treat like auto paint (polish at least once a year) hold up very well.  I 
will agree they are not the same as a fresh coating of paint ( a bit 
lighter) but slight fading over the years certainly is not rapid
