Not to get nosey, but I'm unsure of how the grease zerts have anything to do
with the  loosening of the jack assembly?  The instructions for the
adjustment of the zerts in the Hensley manual says to be very careful and
use just enough to hold the spring bars.  The spring bar is rotated until
the nipple is pressed into the zert for removal for spring bar removal.
Setting the zert too deep will destroy the spring/nipple.  It's my opinion
that adjustment of the zert until one feels the zert spring against the
spring bar will destroy the zert.  The zert is screwed in just to the point
where it will hold the spring bar in place and not fall out.  Best to read
the setup instructions closely! :)

Was it the jack assembly that loosened?    Could it be that the spring bars
weren't carrying a proper load?  It seems unreasonable that the jack
assembly screw would loosen when under stress.  Guess I'll find out when I
tow more.

Also, the bracket "U" bolts are to be torqued frequently and more so on a
new installation being used over rough roads.  Same goes for the brackets on
the end of the spring bars.

I only mention these items as I've spent a week fretting over mounting and
learning to
hookup and unhook my Hensley.

Might not be relevant to the issue, but that's the way I read the thread.
